The Emergency Management Institute (EMI) offers self-paced courses designed for people who have emergency management responsibilities and the general public. It serves as both an alternative means to deliver valuable training to the professional and volunteer emergency management community as well as an opportunity to improve public awareness and promote disaster preparedness nationally.
American red cross disaster cycle services volunteer
My job as a volunteer is to help manage emergency response, relief, and recovery when called for local or regional disasters. As a registered disaster cycle services volunteer with the American Red Cross, I have completed training with the Red Cross on what to expect as a volunteer in the Louisiana region to best prepare me when deployed to help during disasters.
